Patient that have hysterectomy have a plastic foriegn doubt departed contained by her that looks close to a closure tie. What is it?
Answers:
Left contained by her where? How do you know it's plastic if it's "in" her? Can you feel it?
Doesn't sound resembling surgical clips, or a drain....
I'm curious :)
How be it detected? When describing it, are you talking of an Xray image or the item itself?
All items taken from within the body at surgery should be examined by a pathologist. Can you procure hold of that report?
Sometimes a plastic patch is used to repair the abdominal wall when there is a hernia. Is that a possibility?
Snapper might be onto something, some of the little plastic IUDs do look a bit like a folded ziptie, I suppose. And they can be made of white plastic. Approximately a third of them migrate to somewhere else, a third are spontaneously expelled...makes me wonder why they are suitable medical practice, where only a third of them work.
You need to ask the docs for more complete info.
iud??
edit- thumbs down? iuds can and do migrate outside of the uterus into the pelvic cavity. the plastic type will not be seen on an xray, and normally does not cause adhesion and infections the way a copper one would. SO with the limited information you enjoy given, it is possible that it was not "left in" but already present and never observed on a previous diagnostic test.
lol (rolls eyes)
