Why is it required to hold masters level to become a staff nurse?

Answers:
No idea.

I've never worked in a US hospital that required a master's degree for a staff nurse.

A Masters does NOT brand name on a better nurse. I've known RNs with only a 2 year scope run rings around BSN or MSN nurses. Source(s): surgical PA
Education and experience. For the same reason that a medical doctor has to enjoy an M.D.
