Answers:
GCSE, you'll requirement decent grades, a mixture of A/A*, there is not cut off point really, though the better your grades here the more it'll relief you, although some universities like birmingham asked me for 6A* which i didn't have.
A plane you'll need 3 A maybe some 2A and B but unlikely when you come to applying.
Chemistry, biology, math is the usual combination, although you can do one or two of these to AS, and have a different subject. With the up to date A* grade in place, the offers will feasible increase by the time you get to applying, imperial i heard are asking for A* A level subsequent year, which they didn't ask me. It is best to look at the websites of the unis for individual offers and requirements, a word of warning: they dont all ask for matching qualities, grades subjects etc.

I can recommend you a few medical schools, but they would be from my own opinions. I recommend you look a book i used when i be applying called: the insiders guide to uk medical schools, it'l give you an thought of what each medical school is like, although i wouldnt trust 100% adjectives the info.

I've applied to cambridge, barts, ucl, st georges, southampton, birmingham and i got into imperial (i didn't get in 1st time btw). I instinctively like imperial the best, because of the location, the academic content which is tailored to having an route to do academic research if you wish, the environment etc. But i am biased towards anyway. Important for you, go to the plain days and actually see the universities before you apply, to know if you'll resembling it there. I actually didnt like cambridge like mad but maybe thats partly because i didnt get contained by there, i feel imperial's environment is more suited to me.

If you mean which uni's level is the best, it doesn't quite work that way, medicine is accurate in that people from all university have a fair chance to getting competitive posts as far as i know after graduation.
There are some differences that are defining i.e. 5year courses compared with 6 year courses. The extra year is the bsc year, which you dont need as a doctor but it helps. Not adjectives uni's offer it and some cant offer it to all of their students, but my university, imperial and others similar to ucl, cambridge oxford etc do 6 year degrees as standard.

When it comes to applying, it guaranteed will be tough, i wouldn't recommend applying to southampton uni because they don't offer interview and that means you own a really remote chance of getting in, even if if you have a sparkling application.

Since i hold time i'll tell you in case you didnt already know within are several aspects to applying her in uk. You do it through ucas, you write a personal statement (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT) and every medical school (bar maybe bristol) asks you to sit an exam any the ukcat or bmat in addition to your a levels. You also enjoy a personal reference. The unis will select you for interview looking at these things in addition to your gcses and a stratum (predictions) and if judged appropriate will be called to interview and you'll need to intervene that too. Might i add it is VERY competitive to get into ANY medical school, so help yourself to it seriously and work hard when you apply.

I dont know about working in italy but i cogitate that a uk medical degree allows you to practise anywhere thoough you may have to sit an exam depending on the country.

Good luck :) Source(s): medical school student, only just finished 1st year.
Any questions, i wont mind answering.
