I overdosed on panadol on thursday - what be the antidote they give me?
It was in an IV.

Answers:
N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is the antidote of choice for
paracetamol toxicity. NAC acts as a glutathione
substitute, increases glutathione synthesis and
increases sulphate conjugation of acetaminophen.
ooh. yes that was the correct anti-dote - and you were enormously very lucky to live. (not being judgemental been at hand myself) An OD of paracetamol can cause liver failure a few days after ingestion. It is really a horrible way to move about. I hope you have someone to talk to xxxx Source(s): witness to it
