If you could give us the dosage of the darvocets, you'd get a much more accurate answer. Are they 100mg propoxyphene/650mg acetaminophen? If so, 1300 mg of APAP each day isn't that bad, but still not a good idea to be taking every single sunshine. As the poster above me said, though, this is something i'd talk to your doctor about as soon as possible. Opiates (even weaker ones) are not ideal for chronic headache unless it's very severe. I'd discuss the possibility of switching your medication, or possibly getting off opiates altogether. Unless absolutely indispensable, they bring more problems than they solve.
First, the concern with acetaminophen is not untried. Second, you have not stated which Darvocet tablet you are taking, so you may be exceeding the proper dose if you are taking them both at the same time. Third, Darvocet also contains propoxyphene, which is a narcotic. Apart from making you unnecessarily constipated, this could also be making you opiate-dependent. This is a wholly indecorous medication for vague chronic pains, and I think you ought to talk to your doctor soon. Source(s): 38 years within medicine
No, actually. The guy above is a wrong, sorry.
We have known for a long time that Tylenol is risky to the liver, and the warnings were to be sure you realized newly how much Tylenol you were taking.
