What steps are taken after a positive ELISA result?

Answers:
If you're talking about HIV, they confirm the ELISA result beside a second test of a different type (not ELISA) to double check the results.
The ELISA, or the enzyme immunoassay (EIA), was the first screening test widely used for HIV but now a further diagnostic tool surrounded by medicine. Positive results of the test will reveal whether you actually do own HIV or other infection and you would be guided thereon!! Hope this helps...
