Do some nurses boss student doctors around contained by the hospital setting even while the commander doctor is surrounded by on ring up?
Answers:
U have a nurse fetish? Or R U contained by the profession?
As for the Q...I have no clue.
I simply had one episode- When I was an Intern, rotating through General Surgery, the Charge Nurse of the OR decided my size 14 shoes be too big for the shoe covers we use in the OR, and insisted that I scrub in in purely my socks- wearing shoe covers over them of course. She was the boss, and tough as nails. She run a tight ship with everyone, and we had a very low rate of complications.
Nurses sometimes diplomatically made suggestions when I be a Medical Student. I listened, because at that stage, they knew more about clinical medication than I did. No one "bossed" us around. Source(s): MD
It may seem like it to someone who doesn't really know what is going on. The nurses are the ones that have be running the floors for years & anybody new on the floor is going to be told what to do (except the Attending). The nurses know the doctors who are new and are only trying to form sure no one makes any mistakes so the floor runs smoothly. The sooner the new guys, be it strange doctor, nurse or aide know the routine, the better. At the end of the year it will be new guys to teach adjectives over again (darn it, just when every thing was running so well). nurses rule the hospitals if it wasn;t for the nurses the hospital would be lost ,
Not in my experience. Actually where I've been they usually hang on to asking me for orders even though I can't give any. Source(s): 4th year med student
