What is the difference between budeprion and abilify?

Answers:
Bupropion (Wellbutrin, Zyban) is an antidepressant that acts as dopamine and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors. Most antidepressants (like Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil) do not have any significant interaction with dopamine. The increase within dopamine has some stimulating effects, typically causes some weight loss, more vigour and a reduction in depression. It is a very awfully distant cousin of amphetamine but Wellbutrin is not addictive. Abilify is an atypical antipsychotic that interacts with dopamine, serotonin, and histamine. It is very unique due to the exact receptors that it works near. Abilify recently became FDA approved as an adjacent treatment for those with refractory depression (ie people would take a classic drug such as Zoloft and Abilify). Many ethnic group have a reduction in their depression due to abilify but some do not respond economically and some people can have a worsening of depression. Abilify can also be highly sedating and can motive weight gain. Wellbutrin can also cause a worsening of depression but that is severely rare. I'm not sure why exactly you are asking. Were you prescribed both drugs? When taken together they might really help with depression or bipolar. And if you do nick there drugs know that Wellbutrin can increase the Abilify levels. So a low dose of Abilify is good to start next to.
