After having endured years of mental duress studying and appreciating the philosophy and practice of a noble profession, do we soak up the long hours of practice, the skyrocketing malpractice insurance rates, the dwindling professional compensation from insurance carriers, the mounting paper work, the lack of appreciation from the entitled and poorly cultured persons who revolve through our offices, . . . ?

Once the Democrats pass the Healthcare Bill, which will overhaul the private sector (although, they are claiming the private sector will work WITH the rule imposed heathcare), doctors will be feeling the pinch in their wallets and soon will be dropping from the pen of medicine to more lucrative fields. But hell, yes, I wouldn't have missed it for anything and I don't regret a minute of it. I didn't expect to get rich, I just expected to bring back to be a doctor. There are ups and downs, but I don't find it depressing in the least.
