NO.
Ayurvedic medication is not medicine. It's superstition. It is based on ideas of matching and allowing the body to care for itself, according to principles of a superconsciousness (all things in the universe are connected on a cosmic level).
Diseases, according to this belief, are caused when at hand is disharmony, and restoring balance will allow the body to heal. There is absolutely no irrefutable proof for this nor is there a physical mechanism for it to work.
As to the claim that it does no harm, mind.
(From the Skeptic Dictionary) " A study of shops in the Boston area by Robert Saper et al. found high concentrations of front, mercury, and arsenic in Ayurvedic medicine. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 12 cases of lead poisoning contained by 2004 associated with Ayurvedic remedies in Texas, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, and California." Ayurveda medication is a slow but a progressive system of medication. But emergencies cases can not be handled well within this system because it lacks expertise. My suggestion would be follow the Ayurvedic diet principles, lifestyle, and medication if it is only maintenance of a certain condition. For instance if you are already undergone a bypass and you are underneath maintenance you can opt for ayurvedic diet principles and lifestyle and medication along with the English medicines.
But if you are almost to undergo an operation for a certain condition then you better opt for Allopathic bearing of going about it.
Ayurveda is safe because there are no side effects. Source(s): http://ayurveda-foryou.com/treat/heartca…
