Have you ever have to phone your doctor on not checking your chart for things you be allergic to?

I am allergic to a medicine that causes me to clench my jaw. The nurse give it to me she claimed the doctor had ok'd it. I did have a reaction. A few weeks following called the doctor on it, and he got quiet, and asked me why do I ask? Told him if he have bothered to look at my chart he would have seen I was allergic to it. He never apologized but he couldn't hold gotten out of that room fast enough. Did change doctors by the path.

It's his fault, but also, I wouldn't have let the nurse put the pills in me if I knew I was allergic, I don't attention what the doctor says.
Doctors are not infallible they see dozens of people a day.
Sometimes they miss something contained by the chart that is why people must have bracelets on them to read aloud what they are allergic to in case of accidents.. otherwise you could enjoy asked the nurse what was in the shot before she give it to you.
You have to ask questions all the time to be past the worst from mistakes especially at the doctors office.
