Why antibiotics should not be overused?

Answers:
because after time diseases, germs and viruses develop an immunity if we use them to much. In simple terms dream of yourself as a virus and antibiotics as the chicken pox. If you survive it then you only get stronger and don't get hold of effected seriously by it again. I know it's a bad analogy >.<
The problem near over using antibiotics is that you run the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria within your body. Antibiotics kill unshakable bacteria. If, while you are using the antibiotic, you wound a few of the bacteria instead of killing them, the microbes will live on. And once exposed to the agent that should have destroyed them, they develop a defence to that antibiotic. The bacteria develop a resistance. Next time you use that antibiotic to eliminate the bacteria, the antibiotic won't have an effect on the bacteria. The germs will be resistant. You will have to try to use a different antibiotic on them, and hope that that works.
The problem is that there are only so lots antibiotics. If no antibiotics work on the bacteria causing an infection within someone, in good health it is likely that the infection will grow out of control and that person will die.

because basicaly they are poisons
Because the over-use of them builds antibiotic resistant bacteria.
bacteria may become immune to antibiotics if they are exposed to them.
they might develop a mutation (or may allready have a gene) that allows them to keep on living contained by the presence of antibiotics. they then might be able to pass these genes on to other germs, spreading the resistence to antibiotics.

then when someone becomes infected with such a germs that is immune to antibiotics, there isnt anything to give them to stop the infection.
