Can I hang on to my license of medical doctor?

I have just finished residency and have started to work as a pediatric medical doctor surrounded by Virginia. I have a criminal records of theft two years ago. Is my lisence going to be revoked?
Answers:
It depends on the state medical board. If they do revoke your license, you probably own a right to a hearing. You may need a lawyer.

I would hold thought that if your license were to be revoked, the board would have done so by now. Another issue: is your employer aware of your criminal account?
No, they won't. Think about it, you finished your residency without exception. The only one who it would thing to would be an employer, maybe. I know doctors who have done worse things and still have a license to practice.

The worse that may occur is you will have to go before the board of medication and answer some questions about your record.

Good luck.
