The rumor going on for medical schools giving free surgery for "practice" isn't true, so don't bother. Medical schools do a lot of free surgery, freshly as every other US hospital does - on indigent and illegal alien patients, and on those who just refuse to foot their bills.

As for how do you actually contact a medical school- ring them or convey an email, or even go in and ask someone yourself. It's pretty much common sense how to do it.
