What Medical tools do doctors use?

I'm writing a story but I am trying to do some research on the medical tools that doctors use because I know nothing about doctoring. If you guys could just contribute me a list of some the tools that they use, that would be great! Thank you so much in advance. :))
Answers:
Stethoscope to listen to heart and lungs.
Penlight to look at pupils.
Reflex sledge hammer for the neurologists to test reflexes.
Many doctors use PDAs with medical software to look up medication dosages and other medical info.
As previously mentioned, every specialty have different tools but these are the basics. Source(s): PA surgical critical care
With respect to doctoring, one's most important tools are his or her eyes and ears. Way lower on the index are a host of tools ranging in size, cost and use. Physicians may use electrocardiograms (ECGs), radiographs (x-rays), CT, MRI, EMG... but the list is so bloody extensive that in need a little more context I don't know what you're asking for.

The specialty of the physician will go a long way contained by determining which tools they use routinely. A cardiologist looks at an awful lot of ECGs, while a bariatric surgeon uses a host of tools that are very different, so I'm not sure that an exhaustive list of the tools that are used in pills is something I can generate and it's certainly not useful to you, I'm afraid.
