What can lead to Lithium medication level to rise to unwholesome level?

Okayy... I knoe that intense sweating/dehydration, low salt, and A LOT of urination can cause lithium levels to rise. The bygone two times I have gotten my levels checked, the Lithium was low. Since afterwards, my dose has been lowered (and was on a low dose to commence with!) I was supposed to get a blood tryout about a month ago to check for the levels again, but my mother will not take me. I am afraid I am experiencing level of Lithium toxcicity. I just went to the eye doctor for floaters & i have the somewhat detached eye thingie (this is RARE in people my age). Since March (my lithium levels be LOW then) i began experiencing tingling in my feet & carpal tunnel approaching symtpoms. Now I have muslce movements (strange ones in my leg), numbness, pinprickles, nerve affliction, and the floaters have increased (These symptoms have been getting worse over former times month). I suspect that i may have had a fever yesterday.. but idk. There is a possiblity that I own a connective tissue disorder like Lupus, RA, etc. Soo... wat factors can cause lithium level to rise and cause toxcicity (i am on VERY low doese at this point & my levels are usually low). I am NOT unusually tired, gaining substance, nauseaus, etc. I am 17.5 y/o.

It sounds like lithium side effects to me. Not everyone tolerates every drug.
Please see your psychiatrist right away. Switching to a new mood stabilizer, like Depakote, Topamax, or Lamictal may be a solution.
