Are blood disorders genetic?

Can a blood disorder come naturally with out having a family unit history or are they only genetic? I had a blood clot a couple weeks ago and they are testing me for any blood disorders but I enjoy no history of it in my family. I caused my own blood clot by going to bed next to a hair-tie on my arm and I had just given birth not even a month before it happen so my chances were higher of getting a blood clot.

Many blood disorders are genetic, but certainly not all. There are environmental factors (birth control, hormones, diet, etc.), drug-induced, immunologic, infectious, and oncologic newly to name a few.
