Can this be something serious close to a tumor?
I have had a "golf-size" bump on my top left wrist. It hurts to move my wrist and have looked pretty swollen and red around it for the past 2 days. I feel as if i need to telephone my doctor but i'm worried because i don't have insurance, they can canceled my insurance 5 months ago because i turned 19.
Can this be a tumor or an infection?
I don't know how i got it because i haven't injured it or anything.
Answers:
well i can relay you how to test to check if it is a tumor or and infection. First, press in the center of it and fell if it has a tough or soft center if it is hard call your doctor immediately if it is soft you sould obtain a sewing needle and press it in the very center to drain it and you entail to call your doctor
Christine, I regret to say that lacking a proper clinical evaluation and perhaps even some imaging it will be difficult to determine simply based on this description if it is an infection, a benign process like a ganglion cyst, here is a possibility that it's a nerve sheath tumor, the list goes on. So, primarily, this is one of those situations where you need to have this checked out by a professional to attain an answer. I don't think it's a good idea to speculate roughly speaking what's happening here. If you're in the US, perhaps you can send for social services in your municipality or nearby and there will be a community hospital that can see you on a extraordinarily low cost or free basis. I hope you do well.
You need this looked at and treated medically. This can be a benign type of tumor made up of anxious tissue, or a cyst, or an infection, and there is no way to know until you see a doctor. You'll have to work out a giving plan, but don't wait any longer to have this evaluated. Source(s): RN
