Can you mix Benedryl near Sudafed?

I have a stuffy nose ... all mucus is clear. I clutch sudafed but then I get a really bad stuffy snout. I take benedryl to dry that up but then I have a stuffy proboscis again. I tried zicam nasal swabs, claritin D nothing worked! HELP PLEASE can i take the two together??

If by benedryl you mean diphenhydramine and by Sudafed you be going to pseudoephedrine, then yes it is fine. But, you need to look on the box because a box that says benedryl may hold phenylephrine in it...if it like a sinus and flu formula or similar.

The phenylephrine and pseudoephedrine together will not interact together and hurt you, but they are chemical cousins in that it would be approaching taking a large dose of either one. They both work in matching way.

But to answer your question directly, it is fine to take diphenhydramine and pseudoephedrine together...within fact it has been sold within that combination for years. You may want to try some plain saline nasal spray, not the medicated stuff, but just plain saline.
