do not suddenly stop the paxil because there may very well be side effects (dizziness, headaches), you should slowly lower your dose month by month or so. If you are on 40 mg, drop to 20 mg day by day for a while, then 10 mg daily, then stop. But unsurprisingly, you should discuss this with your doctor.
