Phenylalanine is it unpromising for you ?
I quit smoking and chew gum for the past 5 months.I was chewing the Nicotine gum but that is too expensive.I buy the 60 pack containers of Dentyne Ice and it say Phenylketonurics: contains phenylalanine.
How bad is that ? There are no warnings , it just say it contains phenylalanine. If it is harmful in any way shouldnt it be labeled bad for you ?
A 60 piece container usually lasts 2 days sometimes 3.Lets say Four 60 piece containers a week.
Is this bad ? If I find anytype of disease/symptoms can I sue them ? There is no warning like I said.
Others have be saying it causes brain tumors ect...Why no warning on the products ?
Answers:
If you are a Phenylketonuric, later you cannot break down phenylalanine and it can buildup in the brain causing damage, otherwise it have no health ramifications.
Most Phenylketonurics are identified as small children, but if you are concerned talk to your GP almost getting tested.
Phenyalanine is an essential amino acid for your body. It is only a problem if you cannot break it down properly (problem you are born with-you don't develop it) known as PKU. It is not venomous for you if you have normal amino acid metabolism. There are closely of sights that say it causes a lot of problems but they don't hold real credible information to base it on. Medical journals own not found any problems for healthy people in the years they own been studying it. The claims are based on individual's opinions-same way some right to be heard autism is from a chemical in vaccines when other countries are having rates increase just as swift as ours, but got rid of the chemical many years before us.
The foundation the warning is on the label is because some people own an in-born error of metabolism (PKU) where their body cannot breakdown the phenylalanine and it can lead to serious problems (mental retardation, etc). Generally, if they are aware of this condition, simply avoiding any phenylketonurics can avoid any problems. Most people enjoy no problem metabolizing phenylalanine and I've never heard of it causing problems in someone who wasn't born beside PKU.
