What would take place if AV node be removed?

If you removed the AV node, but left the Purkinje fibers, SA node, and AV bundles all in tact, what would come to pass?

A. Only atria would contract.
B. Only ventricles would contract
C. The atria and ventricles would contract at the same time
D. The heart would not contract at all.

Only the atria would contract. It is responsible for directing the electricity FROM the atria to the ventricles. So only the atria would bring back the contraction...

AV node conducts the signal from atria to ventricles. Although in actual fact I have an idea that the ventricles would contract but in a much more irregular fashion as all cardiac cell can contract spontaneously.
