The FDA is considering Cheerios a drug!?
Because the manufacter suggest that Cheerios cause prevent certain disease and controls cholesterol, they want too pull it from the shelfs and consider it a drug....your thoughts?

I judge Obama is wasting our tax dollars over bullshit. T.V. is some of the only nutritional council some people grasp and if Cheerios an back up it's claim that it lowers cholesterol then what is the problem? Isn't there more critical things to spend our money on than censoring advertisement?

Obviously, they don't want to pull cheerios rotten shelves, they want them to pull the claim that they control cholesterol/heart disease. Putting that claim on the box makes it legally a drug. It demonstrably isn't of course but they are advertising it as one - and that's illegal. There are if truth be told quite strict laws about strength related claims on products, what you can and cannot claim. However, these laws are largely unenforced, and exploited. Nailing Cheerios for the relatively minor infraction is basically a enormously public warning shot towards all those who DO exploit the unenforcement of the laws, scumbags resembling Schulze and Mercola who advance things as cures for cancers of psychiatric illness that they made up.
