Is mind spinal fluid located within the spine itself or surrounding it?

Can anyone tell me is spinal fluid located in the spine itself or surrounding it?Does anyone have a cooperation to a picture please and can describe its purpose and functions etc

it is located contained by the brain and the spine...subarachnoid space which extends down to the spinal cord as well
The fluid, inwardly the spine, supplies nutrients and helps maintain the suppleness witnin the network of discs.
The brain and spinal cord have membranes that surround them, and the CSF flows in and around the brain and SC, inside the coverings.
