A C1v1=c2v2 press..?

hey everyone im really stuck with this one could someone please give me a hand? gratefulness!

What volume of a 3M glycene solution must be added to 2L of water to give a final concentration of 0.5 M?

I know you have to use c1v1 = c2v2

where on earth: c1 = 3M, c2 = 0.5 M and V2 = V1+2 but i keep getting it wrong!!

as i read the question... and i agree with the course you set it up...
3V1=.5(V1+2)
3V1=.5V1+1
2.5V1=1
V1=.4

is that your answer?
if it is...
then we have set the equation up incorrectly... [if the solution is correct] and there are other things to consider... for example... what is the concentration of the 3M glycene solution...?

if it is not 100%... at hand are other factors to consider.
