Are Heart Murmurs Dangerous and can they create Pain?
Answers:
It depends on the murmur. A murmur is a sound made when blood passes through one of the heart valves.
Many murmurs are benign ("innocent" murmurs) - it's only just the blood making a little noise as it goes through. Some are a sign of seriously impossible heart problems, such as valves that let blood flow backward through them, or are too tight to agree to enough blood go through.
There is a test call an echocardiogram that lets doctors see the blood flow using doppler technology. It can tell the difference between an innocent murmur and one that signals a real problem.
As a murmur is a clamour, it isn't going to cause pain. The underlying cardiac problem might cause chest aching if the heart isn't receiving enough blood to feed itself. Chest twinge is caused by a lack of oxygen to the heart muscle.
Depending on your age and physical status heart murmurs are harmless. If your underneath 30 and have been diagnosed, then don't verbs. Your doctor should have conducted more tests such as an ECG to look for anything dangerous. Usually, especially contained by athletic males heart murmurs can pop up. They mean nothing. However if you are over 30 and have be diagnosed it is usually for a reason, a reason your doctor will tell you after they enjoy completed their tests.
They cannot cause pain.
heart murmurs are hazardous..they occur when the valves on the vessels of the heart don't close completely so blood is flowing through when it shouldn't be. the mete out for the valves to be not working properly is due to some underlying problem that should be checked out by a cardiologist. heart murmurs themselves don't cause torment, i believe, but the underlying issue might.
