I can't find any information either but looking at the molecule, I can guess the answers but I'm not sure if you should accept my answers. Each molecule has 2 ketone groups contained by it, which will allow water solubility. The electrons in the double bonded oxygens can form intermolecular hydrogen bonds with the surronding marine molecules, these bonds with water molecules is what causes it to 'dissolve'. The module of the molecule which reduces its solubility is the organic benzene ring that is at the focal point of the molecule. Benzene rings are non-polar and are hydrophobic. They would reduce a molecule's solubility in water as they can not form interactions beside water.
