Yes you can! i pierced my lip and ears with a sewing needle and i lately washed it under the tap! But i've hear of many people using a match sterilising the hypodermic.
You can use a naked flame and vodka to sterilise the needle, but seriously it individual costs like lb6.00 so why not go get it done proffesionally , at lowest then it will be even and you dont have a choice but to get the other one done when you realise a nozzle hurts sooo much more than having a gun do it.
Clean it with regular rubbing alcohol and next put a flame to it for several seconds.
