Whats the big buy and sell going on for stem cell research?

I really just can't understand...aren't the fetuses already aborted and inert? Why not help other living people by harvesting cell that would otherwise go to waste?

It's the same controversy next to abortion and contraception. Some religions feel that these things are killing a living being. Because technically once an egg have been fertilized it is living. It grows and requires nutrients except it doesn't breathe. Under government law though, a human is singular a being is it has breathed it's first breathe. If not, it hasn't existed yet as a human. And for this reason it is not murder to have an abortion under government tenet. But some people see it as different. They feel it is murder. There are differing opinion and that is why it has taken a long time to develop another method for harvesting stem cell.
