For Docs & Nurses i read that sometimes they lug the life-support sour when the pt is brain motionless but...?
I thought doctors and nurses are pro-life and should never commit euthanasia, it's part of the code of ethics my teacher have always told me. And in the board exams it is also emphasized.
Im not saw that it's total evil due to other reasons, like relieving suffering, but should we the ones to do it?

You ARE your brain. Otherwise what are you? So when you are brain dead, you are unresponsive. it is not Euthanasia. Also, it is not actively ending a life, it is recognizing that a existence has ended. There is a difference.
Not sometimes, but always. Brain departed = dead. Gone. Not coming back. Not even a little bit.
Ending futile pains at artificially maintaining circulation and ventilation of a dead body is not euthanasia. Dead empire don't suffer. They're dead. See paragraph #1.
Not all physicians and nurses are pro-life, btw. We want what is best for our patients, and sometimes that means palliative fastidiousness. Quality of life is more important than quantity of enthusiasm.
I have seen many patients put through incredible suffering by well-meaning kith and kin members who can't face that fact that a loved one is dying. Is it a liberality to subject a terminal patient to painful surgeries, hemodialysis, mechanical exposure to air and other treatments that are not going to alter the outcome? Quite the opposite. I hope that my family loves me enough NOT to do those things if I am surrounded by that situation.
You, student nurse, need to review what "brain dead" means. Then, you need to dream up about what constitutes "life". I submit to you that it is NOT lying comatose having machines take over your critical functions. Something to think about, isn't it? Source(s): I'm a physician.
Someone has to do it. Sometimes it the doctor and sometimes it's both. I don't work on a section that has to deal with this. I am pro-life when a lenient has a "quality of life". If someone is lying in a bed, is on time support and is not aware of their surroundings, otherwise brain dead, then why are we keeping them alive, other than to allow domestic members to come a say final Good bye's. Also, you have to consider if they enjoy directives in place should this time come, the directives should be honored. Taking a patient off life span support isn't euthanasia because without the machines, they would be dead.
