I enjoy be told that i enjoy an Aneurism.?

I need an operation for an Aneurism. How long will i be off work after the operation. Anybody had one ?.
Answers:
If you a referring to an Arterio-Venous Malformation, I had one at the T-4 rank in my spine. After surgery I was paralyzed for three months and it took another three to get walking again. I still hold reduced mobility and sensitivity below the T-4 level.

Your answer will depend on how they correct it (embolization, gamma-knife, surgery) and where it located.
I am sorry if you feel it is better to ask here than to ask the surgeon who is going to look after you, but the answer is that it depends on what operation is going to be done. The traditional procedure is to make a long incision surrounded by the abdomen and put in a graft of knitted Dacron textile. This is a major operation, and it will take about 3-4 weeks for you to get better to light activity. A newer operation is to put in a so-called stent, where on earth a much smaller cut is made in the groin, and the tube graft is threaded up the inside of the artery into the aneurysm portion of the aorta. This is a much lesser operation and the recovery is quicker. the jury is still out, though, on whether it is a better operation. There is a angelic and informative website below. This depends on where on earth it actually is and how they'll fix it.

Depends where it is. Aneurysms most commonly take place in arteries at the base of the brain (the circle of Willis) and in the aorta (the largest artery coming out of the heart. Your surgeon will advise you.
