Why are children with hyperammonemia often alkalotic? please explain how it is related to the opening urea is formed from carbon dioxide and ammonia if you can... thanks...

hyperammonemia means that the child has excessive ammonia inside their blood. As ammonia has a basic pH it is going to cause the child to become alkalotic. i'm not totally sure how you would approaching that to urea formation
