Do chiropractors even work?
Why wouldn't I just go to an orthopedic doctor?
Answers:
Tricky examine. What do you mean "work?" Do they realign your spine and take care of some stern pain? Yes. Do they cure colds? No.
You should go to an orthopedic doctor, though there is an obviously big difference between a chiropractor and a D.O.. Orthopedic doctors own to get a proper degree, chirproactors do not (and that's why they're not real doctors).
Different opinions more or less this. They make you feel better, but rarely solve the problem, surrounded by my experience. The purist DCs who believe that your ulcer is caused by a spinal misalignment often do more impair than good. I have had several patients bring back "adjusted" until one day they became paraplegic. At that point the DC said he could not help any more (?) - so they go to a MD, referred stat to me, and I found their cord tumor. Source(s): Neurologist
