If a complete brain transplant be possible, would the receiver see the memories of the donor?

Memories and knowledge are not characteristics of neurons (everyone's neurons are the same) but rather the connections between them (synapses). So, if you had someone else's brain, you would hold their synapses, and therefore their memories, personality, and for all intents and purposes BE them. Right?

Maybe. Memories are stored in the brain cells. After all, the receiver has the same brain cells already, but it could depend on how the body would act in response to the new brain. Actually, maybe you can't just see the memories. Maybe you'd treat them as your own. Personalities, emotion, and memories all come from the brain, not from the soul or the heart as they say.
