What are the positives and negatives of individual a paramedic?
Positives: Helping people in their most critical time of need, knowing you've made a difference within some peoples' lives, new challenges daily- you never know what you're going to do, usually flexible work schedules, most places with the sole purpose work 2 days/week (24-hour shifts, unless you're in a big city)
Negatives: Being exposed to all kinds of disease, no concern what precautions you take; sometimes dangerous work environment, crappy pay (the trash man make more)
I couldn't imagine doing anything else though! Source(s): paramedic, been in EMS for 11 1/2 yrs immediately
