I am Canadian and I will take single payer over managed care any year. I get to chose my doctor, get good and timely treatment and never hold to pay.
Managed care has limitations, can disqualify someone for a preexisting condition and determine how and when care is administered.
Don't let propaganda sway you - the Canadian Health care system is a great system. Are within problems? Of course. But I wouldn't trade it for anything.
