Can patients be given shots of magnesium (like b12 shots) and are they adjectives?
Doc found i have really low magnesium and b12. Got shots for b12 and supplements fro mag. Curious as to whether i can get mag shots too as i think thats the motive of most of my probs

Yes, you could hold been given the magnesium intramuscularly, but it hurts like the dickens. It's even given intravenously, that takes considerable monitoring.
Absolutely. Where I work, we have a doctor who thinks life's tricks cure is magnesium. If he's nice, you get it IV. If he's feeling not-so-nice, you get 2 big shots within the butt. And from what I've heard from the patients, the shots hurt a lot.

You can get infusions for Magnesium. But, unless you really marked hypomagnesemia (low magnesium levels) you can get it subsidise with oral therapy. Infusions are more expensive and have the added risk of side effects and infections. Best to be conservative given that you can procure as much magnesium in with tablets in purely a few days with little risk.
