Can you cart calcium concentrate blockers and beta blockers at impossible to tell apart time for migraine prevention?
I currently take Verapamil (calcium channel blocker) for migraine prevention. It has worked some, but I'm at the full dose and it isn't ample (I still get daily migraine symptoms if not full on migraines).
Can I pinch a beta blocker at the same time? Or will I need to get stale the calcium channel blocker first? Obvoiusly I'll talk to my doctor about it as all right . . . just wondering what everyone else knows about it. Thanks.
Answers:
don't take calcium channel blockers because they are 2 strong but perversely take beta blockers. i strongly suggest antenolol. well don't take both of them together because they will contradict respectively other both are used as recovery from heart attack treatments.
i also take beta blockers for migraine. the doctor started me off on propranolol and that didnt work i expericed some side effects. afterwards i changed to antenolol after being on amitrptilin.
Hey,
I wouldn't suggest taking these two medications together. There is a major Drug-Drug interaction. Definately have a chat to your doctor before starting your beta blocker meds.

propranolol and Verapamil (Major Drug-Drug)
MONITOR CLOSELY: Additive reductions in heart rate, cardiac conduction, and cardiac contractility may go on when calcium channel blockers, especially verapamil and diltiazem, are used concomitantly with beta blockers. While this combination may be useful and forceful in some situations, potentially serious cardiovascular adverse effects such as congestive heart failure, severe hypotension, and/or exacerbation of angina may occur. Ventricular asystole, sinus arrest, and heart block own also been reported. The risk is increased with high dosages, IV authority, left ventricular dysfunction, or AV conduction abnormalities. Beta blocker ophthalmic solutions may also interact, as they are systemically absorbed and can produce clinically significant systemic effects even at low or undetectable plasma level. Bradycardia (36 bpm) with wandering atrial pacemaker occurred in a forgiving taking oral verapamil and timolol ophthalmic drops. The proposed mechanisms include additive slowing in AV conduction, reduced cardiac contractility lower to beta-blockade, and decreased peripheral vascular resistance secondary to calcium waterway blockade. Verapamil and diltiazem may also decrease the clearance of some beta blockers.
Ps: Propranol is a beta blocker, I chose randomly as you did not give the first name of the medication.

Calcium depression blockers and beta blockers taken together can severely drop your blood pressure and heart rate. They need to be prescribed carefully and more likely purely one at a time unless you happen to have high blood pressure surrounded by addition to the migraines. Source(s): PA
verapamil decreases conduction across av node slowing heart rate.
beta blockers also slow heart rate.
together they can slow ur heart rate to dangerous rank.
