Is isoprophyl alcohol can affect my brain cell?
I always use isoprophyl alcohol to wash my arms? i would like to ask if the smell of the isoprophyl alcohol can affect my brain cell ? Which is more safe isprophyl or ethyl alcohol ............

Isopropyl Alcohol, also known as Propanol or just plain rubbing alcohol, is really not something you should use contrinuously to mop up your arms. Depending on the concentration and how much of it you use, how often you use it and whether or not you use it in a small enclosed space would depend how it would effect your brain (including brain cells). But mostly speaking, yes, inhaling these fumes in excess is not advisable. Most over the counter alcohol is somewhere between 60-90% assay, meaning that it is between 60-90% isopropanol and 40-10% sterile water (just depends on what brand you buy),
I would not reccomend using this on your skin anyway, because it purely displaces entirely too much water and natural oils from your skin and can within turn cause you skin issues with repeated use.
Ethanol is what is in foot sanitizers, and the reason that ethyl alcohol was chosen is because of the inhalation issues (safety to the consumer) and because it is not as strong of a solvent as IPA (Isopropyly Alcohol), meaning it is not going to draw out and dissolve as much of the raw moisture and oil from your skin. The only reason that companies put any IPA surrounded by there at all is just because the BATF (Buerau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) have set regulations for the denaturation of ethanol used in skin care products (basically denaturing is making it where it cannot be consumed for recreational purposes), but it does not run much of the IPA to do that, so you are still using almost 90% ethanol for sanitizing your hands.
Overall, just travel get a big bottle of Purrel or any other hand sanitizer....it will work just as economically as the IPA and will cause you far less harm contained by the long run, be it your brain health and your skin health. Source(s): Toxicologist
