What cut-out does blood sugar level thieve after ingestion?

I'm not sure but I think my blood sugar is doing strange things.. after I eat something, it will go up to close to 160 (which is way higher than I ever saw it before), then 30 min after drinking it will be back in the 80's.... then 30 more minutes it will travel back up to 120 or so.. Then occasionally a few hours after eating it crashes into hypoglycemia, into the 50's or so. Any ideas?

Did you over-correct near your rapid insulin after eating? Did you eat anything else after supper? Did you embezzle too much long-acting insulin in the morning? What kinds of insulin are you on? Were you eating, next going high, over-correcting, and then eating again? Usually after drinking, with the correct insulin doses, your sugars should stay between (4.0 and 7.0 mmol/L - sorry, I am Canadian and don't relate well to mg/dL). You should see your endocrinologist, dietition, diabetic nurse, and or doctor, if you have these. Most hospitals hold diabetic units that would help to adjust your insulin doses.

Also, your problem could be that you are using the same injection site over and over again. This can lead to the insulin pocketing contained by the fat, and then at the WRONG time, the insulin can escape from the pocket, after your blood sugars have come down from exercise, or doesn`t matter what else.
