Also, in Mirror Image twins, some of the internal organs (not just the heart) can be reversed. This condition is cause because the cells in the uterus splits after the left-right things have already be decided. Source(s): National Geographic - In the Womb: Multiples.
My friend's little boy was just born with dextrocardia. When the doctors saw it on the ultrasound at give or take a few 20 weeks gestation, they told her the next step was to find out why, "whether it was pushed, pulled or in that by design." In this case, it was pushed; he had a hole within his diaphragm where the bowel and stomach were coming up into the chest cavity and pushing the heart and left lung rotten to the side. He had surgery at two days old to close the hole. He is still in hospital at 17 days outdated, but with daily improvements.
Hope that helps... I other find a real story helps me learn!

Yes, it's called dextrocardia, and it is usually associated with other forms of congenital heart disease, or other serious anomalies. But, occasionally it is newly an incidental finding. Really rarely there is complete situs inversus, where adjectives the organs are reversed, like heart on the right, liver and appendix on the left, etc.
