What is proper disposal of medication contained by pill form?
Answers:
For "proper" disposal, a pharmacy would be your best bet. Supposedly, dumping pharmaceuticals in the trash/toilet bad people/animals/the environment.
I don't think flushing them is too adverse. Extremely potent fentanyl patches still have quite a bit of medication surrounded by them after 2-3 days of use, and the box advises to flush them after they've been used. So obviously nearby have been a number of patch introduced to the public water supply. No one has died or gotten high from drinking their sea, so I would say that it's safe to say that the chemical have been filtered, or is diluted enough for at hand not to be a problem.
Plus, imagine all the other drugs that have be flushed. Taking all these drugs at once would likely cause an overdose, but that doesn't seem to be to be a problem. Source(s): http://www.smarxtdisposal.net/questions.html
