How to become a Doctor?
Hello,
I am currently starting year 10. I have choose French, ICT and Music for my opions. Along with Maths, English and Science. I would like to know what grades i want to get. And what to take in sixth-form? What would do grades within which subject do i need to go into a degree contained by medicine. And what else do i need to know

Wow - I'm just finishing year 10 and i also want to get into Medical School! To seize into Med School your Gcse result should mostly be As. The Odd B wont make a difference but alot of Med Schools are looking for people who are more well rounded a bit than only good at the sciences! For example, they'd prefer someone with 5 As and 4Bs fairly than someone with 2 A*s, 1 A, 3 Bs and 4 Cs. So try not to concentrate only on science! In Sixth Form, you'll almost DEFINATELY need Chemistry! Depending on how masses A levels you want to do. If you want to do three, then, i would suggest doing Chemistry as a must, Biology, and Maths/Physics. I would advise you to do four though because at hand is alot of competition to get in. You need at lowest possible 5 GCSE grades and these should at least include Math and the other three sciences, try to get at least B grades. At University you entail to do 3-4 A levels. Ideal subjects are Math, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. You ideally need 4 A grades but some Universities may accept AAAB.

well ,I'm from the US, but anyone interested in a job in medicine should take as frequent math and science classes as possible, including biology and especially chemistry. to get into a good pre-med program, you will need right grades all around.
Medical schools, along with some of the better universities, hold become very cynical about GCSE & A levels. They are aware of "class inflation".
You will need very good GCSE results, lots of A's & A*'s.
You must give somebody a lift Chemistry A level, Biology would be advised. You will need A grades.
It is terrifically likely that, by the time you apply for medical school, all will want you to nick either BMAT or UKCAT exams. (Find out about these online.)
You will need work experience within a field that is related to medicine, but this is not glib nowadays, because you need to show experience of, & a commitment to, working with relatives.
Social activities are good, not clubbing!, because you'll need to know how to relate to other people.
