Stupid Doctor Visit-Related Question...?
I know it's just wasting points, but I may/may not have a physical examination tomorrow. I've be wandering around trying to find out whether this includes my least favorite activity of having a nozzle put in my arm for drawing blood. Do you know any conditions which could make me unlucky enough to enjoy to go through this?

for the most part, unless you are getting blood work done or if you're not up to date with your vaccines, a shot should not be needed during the exam....but thats what I deduce lol I'm not 100%
Actually, these blood tests will tell your physician a lot in the order of your current condition. They will probably only need a couple of tubes to check out your red blood count (possible anemia) and white blood cell count (possible infection.) They will draw another tube of blood to check out your liver and kidney function. They will also probably seek to acquire a urine speciman. To answer your question, these blood tests are fairly routine for apparently good individuals who get a routine physical exam. Where I trained [Univ of Miami, Fl] they always said the physical exam was not complete until you looked at the blood lower than the microscope. So in those days, (1980-84) every single person that came to the emergency room have blood drawn and examined microscopically.

Unless you've got justification for a blood test - anaemic or diabetic for example - it is most unlikely that blood will be taken.
It seems to be getting more common , within the UK, for GP's to refer you to the local hospital for blood samples to be taken.
You will solitary draw blood if the Doctor needs some kind of information on w. blood cell count/ iron level count/ hemoglobin/ vitamin/ etc
The usual satchel is for diagnosis and prescribing a pill to you.
Also, for a check-up - so most likely you will have to draw your blood sooner or later. (You don't hold to do it on the same day you go to the Doctor's stop by, but rather whenever your ready.)
If it is something resembling an annual physical check up exam, then they will probably draw some blood to test for stuff like: cholesterol level, glucose levels, creatinine, and lots more complicated stuff.)
It depends what kind of doctor appointment your going to...if the doctor thinks their is something wrong they may kind you draw blood. but if its for a regular checkup or whatever you should be fine. I'm really not all that scared to needles...but getting ur blood drawn really isnt that desperate...and it only takes like 2 minutes tops....:)
