When do i start using a stethoscope contained by med institution?

Hi I'm starting med school next september and i'm really looking forward to everything and i was curious almost when you start using a stethoscope and get familiar with it? Would i own to stay waiting for the clinical part? or would i handle it in the pre clinical slice? Also if you know of a few websites which give good advice for students starting their first year at medical conservatory i would really appreciate it. Thanks

We started a class called physical diagnosis the beginning of 2nd semester and the stethoscope is one of the 1st things used in the class. They want to bring in sure you have experience with it before you draw from out into clinicals since you will need to have quite a bit of culture before you are ready for clinicals.
