Nurse assistant or an RN?

I would rather be the assistant but my husband said if i am going in that direction then i should be an RN so consequently i would make more money for the same kind of work.
I would like to be a pediatrician but i really do not want to spend 4+ years in college..i have already be in for 2.

Anyone have suggestions?
or any other ideas of working next to kids?
Thanks!

Registered Nurse...might as well be in motion for it.
Well, if you want to be a pediatrician, you are going to need 4 years college, 4 years med school, and a few more years of residencies. So you are going to necessitate more than two years.

I would say you might as well go for the RN. If you already hold two years and have taken care of the appropriate general ed classes, next you will only need two more years of school to be an RN. You would spawn more money and be trained for better patient care. Source(s): nursing student
Well I am a nurse assistant currently in nursing school. If you like working near kids, a nurse assistant wouldnt work because youre mainly taking care of old culture. There are very few nurse assistant jobs for kids. An RN would let you work contained by either pediatrics, labor and delivery, and the list go on for miles. if you dont want to spend too much time doing the rn program, then do the lpn program. Its half the time and half the prerequisites. The clear is a little less than an rn, but working as a nurse assistant would keep you at poverty rank. Most nursing schools say they want you to be a nurse assistant first, which is fine, that way you enjoy a guaranteed job while you are in nursing school. nurse assistant programs usually run for a month to three months. hope this help a little.
