I believe if you are seeking an Associates Degree as a Pharmacy Technologist, afterwards it would take a standard 2 years. If you wanted to speed that up then you could pocket summer sessions and get through sooner, maybe even in a year. If you enjoy any classes that will transfer, then you may be able to win done even more quickly.

One thing you may want to consider, is just applying for the position at a pharmacy, such as CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc. Most of these places will train you themselves (and this way you do not have to pay for it, and within fact you actually make money while you are training). I do not believe that having an Associates Degree in this field will achieve you a higher salary than just diving contained by and being trained by the pharmacy that you gain employment with.

I have a friend, who worked contained by an office almost all of her life. At the age of 45 she lost her profession (was laid off) and basically just took one of the first jobs that she found instigate near her home, and it happened to be for a pharmacy tech. for CVS. In the job posting it stated "Training Provided". So she did it, and she loves it, and make the same amount of money as anyone else and she has nothing but a High School Diploma.

Just something to consider anyway. Source(s): Toxicologist
