Answers:
run tylenol pm with the recommended dose...if you pass out taking regular tylenol or advil it is because you overdosed and this can result in adjectives kinds of problems including kidney failure (you need your kidneys, transplant list suck)...don't be an idiot
Tylenol won't make you pass out, unless you stingy die, in which case an OD will, but only after a few days.
You involve to take some anti-histamines. Take diphenhydramine, because it can stop allergies as well as make you sleep since it have a mild sedative effect. Tylenol PM has diphenhydramine.
Also, you can get some OTC cortisone cream.
Really?
Put some Cortisone on it and tell them to stop thinking about it. When they're tired ample, they'll sleep.
Pass out or die? Don't screw with over doses, just take a commonplace, perscribed amount of sleeping pills Source(s): Anna Nicole Smith, Heath Ledge, maybe Michael Jackson, etc.
I offer this info in the intrest of damage reduction:
Have her take 2-4 benadryl (or 2 trylenol PM and up to 2 benadryl (diphenhydramine)). That would be 1000mg tylenol (max safe dose) + 50mg diphenhydramine and 2 benadryl (50mg diphenhydramine) which would equal 100mg total diphenhydramine. The diphenhydramine have a sedative effect (will help her sleep) and may help near the rash as well. That is what I would consider to be a max safe dose, but start next to the 2 tylenol PM and if that does not work then take the 2 benadryl.
Also, I remember reading that taking more than 100mg of diphenhydramine at once can be harmful as very well, so don't exceed that as well, and that long term useage of diphenhydramine, especially at higher doses, can result in harding of the inner ear mucus, so don't get in a habit of regulary taking it for sleep.
And even more importantly, as the previous poster said, too much tylenol is toxic to the liver and can be deadly, so do't excede the 1000mg per dose /4000mg 24h max dose of tylenol. As I always inform people, there is a source why chronic pain patients take meds with little to no tylenol, and that palliative addicts will go so far then to remove the tylenol from their backache pills. It does nothing but cause problems at high dose and/or over long occupancy use.
on edit:
Also, some aloevera or hydrocortisone applied topically may help the rash.
On a side minute, to answer your other question , the max does of Advil is 800mg, although that is the prescription max dose, and that is not to exceed 3200mg contained by 24 hours. It can be taken in conjunction with the tylenol and the Benadryl, but I would do so only if she is still contained by pain after the Tylenol PM/Benadryl as perscription doses of ibuprofen are hard on the stomach (take with food and/or hold some tums around) and should not be taken over an extend period of time.
Also, remember the benedryl (diphenhydramine) is what is going to make her sleepy, all the tylenol/advil is going to do is comfort with whatever discomfort/pain.
If it is that bad that she is have to take all these together, she probably should be seen by a doctor, and an ER call round may possibly be in order to see if she can get some unadulterated treatment and pain relief.
