On the microgynon combined pill, and one given antibiotics today...?
Im on the microgynon 30 combined pill, and have just come to the end of a packet (so tomorrow will be morning 1 of my pill free week).
However today I'm collected antibiotics (paracetamol and penicillin) from the doctor for a viral infrection, Im not sexually active at the moment anyway, so the protection side wont be an issue.
Will taking the antibiotics mess up my cycle, im meant to come on tomorrow for 7 days, then start a hot pill packet?
Or should i carry on taking the pill like I would if I werent on antibiotics?

It shouldn't mess up your cycle but will make the pill less effective, so if you be having sex while taking the antibiotics you should take additional precautions, e.g. a condom.

The antibiotic won't 'mess up your cycle' but in guess it could reduce the efficacy of the Pill. If contraceptive cover isn't an issue at the moment then just fetch on taking your Pill as normal.
