How much does a doctor draw from remunerated annually within England?
In a few years time I would like to become a doctor and I want to find out now, how much all kind of doctors get paid annually, so I get know which to budge for. Many thanks.
Answers:
Doctors in the new specialty doctor grade earn between lb36,443and lb67,959.
Consultants can earn between lb74,504 to lb176,242, dependent on length of service and sum of additional performance related awards.
Many standard practitioners (GPs) are self employed and hold contracts, either on their own or as part of a partnership, with their local primary keeping trust (PCT). The profit of GPs varies according to the services they provide for their patients and the way they choose to provide these services.
Salaried GPs employed directly by PCTs earn between lb53,249 to 80,354, dependent on, among other factors, length of service and experience. Source(s): http://www.nhscareers.nhs.uk/details/Def…
It varies dramatically. And it also depends if you mean GP, private doctor, or doctor in the forces.
Generally, GPs start on around lb30,000 contained by their first 1-2 years, and the pay escalates dramatically from there, depending if they specialise in any nouns or move into consultation.
I can tell you however there are no badly compensated doctors. I only wish I had considered it when I be at University. However, you need to put in 5 years at University, including a tough pre-registration year. You also need to take in Biology, Maths and Chemistry to a fairly high standard.
Peter has given you the most accurate answer; but there are some GPs here contained by the southeast who earn up to 200k a year (and STILL can't be bothered to pay attention to current prescribing guidelines BTW)

What an appalling reason to enter medicine! You want to find out which type of Doctor earns the most so you know which branch of drug you want to work in? How about you choose an area which interests you and that you are well brought-up at?
I'm sorry but medicine and money don't or shouldn't ever mix.
Edit
To Pizzaman above: I agree with the latter part of your answer, but if you read the posters' interview again she says money would be a deciding factor in which branch on medication she chooses. Source(s): Registered Nurse
Consultants surrounded by NHS hospitals can earn between lb74,504 to lb176,242, dependent on length of service and payment of additional performance related awards.

The profits of doctors in private practice are unregulated, but there are very few that earn as much contained by private practice. Source(s): Retired anaesthetist

So, you want to choose which medical specialty to turn for based on salary?
That's a dreadful attitude to the profession. Go into business instead.
Basic Gp is 100 thousand pounds a year

Good Luck With The Job :D
They get remunerated well, though the starting salary isnt great. They have a banding system which is unnatural and will likely change soon. As a doctor gains seniority surrounded by a grade, their pay increases every year, so it is possible for an Associate specialist to get remunerated less money if he/she gets regraded to consultant! You get the usual bonuses for excellent performances etc.
I do return with annoyed when people criticize potential doctors to be who want to know what the salary of a doctor is. Its a genuine examine, nothing wrong with it, obviously money isnt what motivates you to be a doctor but its worthy to know because very few people dont consider salary when making art choices. In my experience doctors are very vigilant when it comes to their pay.
